Metinvest Group's Legal Support Directorate was named the best corporate legal service in the country, according to the Legal Practice newspaper’s "Top-50 Legal Departments in Ukraine" survey.
The project also named the best legal services in separate industries: agriculture, retail, metallurgy, banking, power, transportation, oil & gas, machine building, and telecommunications.
Metinvest's Legal Support Directorate was also recognized as the best among metallurgical enterprises.
"The correct establishment of a legal risk management system was a key advantage for us. We use it to avoid problems for the Group's owners and staff as well,” said Svetlana Romanova, Metinvest Group’s Chief Legal Officer.
Criteria for the evaluation of corporate legal services included their key areas of remit and the amount of tasks realized per year, representative deals, lawyer qualifications, and reputation. The survey was carried out from 1 August 2013 to 15 September 2013.
