Metinvest Group and the city authorities of Kryviy Rih approved the Social Partnership Program for 2017. The company's investments will amount to UAH 60 million - one and a half times more than last year.
The corresponding document was signed on April 20th by the mayor of Kryviy Rih Yuriy Vilkul, the CEO of Metinvest Yuriy Ryzhenkov and the directors of GOKs in Kryviy Rih: Ingulets, Severny, Central and Yuzhny. The enterprises will allocate funds to address important social issues and improve the quality of life in Kryviy Rih.
Metinvest Social Partnership Program has been in progress in Kryviy Rih since 2011. Since then UAH 215 million has been allocated for infrastructure development, repair of main roads and house exterior, support of health care, modernization of schools and kindergartens, reconstruction of parks and squares, and development of sports and recreation areas.
Capital repairs of the surgical ward of hospital #17 and the Children's Creativity Centre "Mriya", reconstruction of the square on Ivan Mazepa Street and Ternovsky park, repair of walk bridges, renewal of main square and local road pavement in residential areas, and support of schools and culture and sports schools are among the key last year projects.
Metinvest Green Centre public union started its work in Kryviy Rih in fall 2016 to improve the cooperation with active citizens. The centre has been able to implement several significant initiatives within a short period of time. Thus, 24 projects amounting to UAH 3 million were supported as part of 100 House Yards program aiming to improve house front yards. Support was provided to the house committees in pruning and renovation of more than 400 trees.
Plans for 2017 include renovation of local roads and driveways, landscaping of house front yards, support of public initiatives that are part of We Improve The City competition and 100 House Yards program, repair of house exterior, installation of sports and children's playgrounds, modernization of medical and educational institutions.
